Singer Asake finally gifted N5 million to the Nigerian policewoman whose voice (‘Epp Me, he dey carry me go’) he sampled in his hit track

Responding to calls for financial assistance for the ailing policewoman behind the viral clip ‘Epp me,’ the acclaimed singer Asake has generously donated N5 million to Helen Utabor.

Helen, the policewoman behind the widely recognized “epp me epp me, he dey carry me go where I no know” trend, is currently facing health challenges.

The news surfaced when popular comedian I Go Save shared a video on his Instagram page, revealing that the officer had been injured by a vehicle while directing traffic in Edo.

I Go Save mentioned that she needed 1.5 million naira for medical treatment.

Social media users rallied to encourage Asake, the YBNL music star, to extend help to the woman, with many suggesting he owed her royalties for using her viral ‘epp me epp me’ phrase as an intro in his hit song ‘Peace Be Unto You.’

In a recent update, I Go Save informed fans that Asake had heeded the call for assistance, transferring N5 million into her account and providing screenshots of the transactions as evidence. I Go Save also confirmed the positive progress in the policewoman’s health due to the ongoing treatment. He criticized high-ranking police officials and politicians for their silence on her health crisis, urging them to offer support.
